FLV player

Postby Jayell » Wed Aug 11, 2010 2:01 pm

I'm looking for another program to play FLV files on my computer, which requires 2 features.
1. Opens in the size of the actual flv file
2. Allows for manually scrubbing through the video

I'm currently using VLC, but it shuts down any time I try to manually scrub through the video (although doesn't do that with other formats).
The Muvipix player that Ron provided for us allows manual scrubbing, but won't open in the default size of the flv file.

Anyone using anything else that meets both of these requirements? .. oh and I'm looking for a freebie. :-D I've found a few online, but am looking for recommendations for those that have actually used one of them.

I've had good luck with Media Player Classic - http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-C ... 18778.html

Yup, Media Player Classic works great. I use it to view lots of different file types including FLV and m2v.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Thanks guys for the quick response. I forgot this one has been mentioned before.
Are either of you running Win7/64-bit. The link you provided doesn't mention Win7.
