NewBlue Plug ins

Postby Sara J. » Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:44 am

I might have missed a thread talking about this. Is it possible to copy some of the NewBlue transitions into CS3 so they show up in the transitions in CS3?

Hi Sara,
I think this did come up before and the result was a watermark over the video where you use the effect, but I can't remember for sure.
You can copy the New Blue plug in/effects folder from Premiere Elements to the plug in folder in CS3 and give it a try :)

Here is a thread where some of the members were trying to get the effects to work in version 3, similar process to getting them into CS3;

I think they got it to work in the end :)

Also, did you see this thread with the free New Blue cartoon effect?

Very cool cartoon plug in. Thanks.

Now a dumb question.

I get the plug-in for example from the NewBlue folder in en_us PE4 called GlowSoftAE. Do I just copy that file and paste it in CS3 Plug-ins - en_US folder? Do I create a plug-in folder and call it NewBlue effets and will that create a new transition folder in my effects area?

Or

Is it easier to copy the entire NewBlue folder in en_US from PE4 and copy that someplace into CS3?

Sorry, Just afraid I'm going to mess things up.

I would copy the entire New Blue folder from the Premiere Elements 4 directory to the CS3 plug ins directory.

Let me know if the effects show up in CS3 Sara, if not I will take a closer look at it ;)

I know it has been a long time since I posted back. I did the paste of NewBlue plug-ins and it worked to move them to CS3, but I do have the watermarks. I tried the Ctrl and Shift key when loading them to see if it made a difference, but nothing changed. Has anyone been able to load the NewBlue plug-ins from PE4 into CS3 without the watermarks?
