Handbrake - Another Format Conversion Tool with Promise

I believe it is free and the primary purpose is for converting from DVDs to other formats.
Might be a great tool for those of you with DVD camcorders

I took a look at Handbrake when I was first looking to edit footage from my DVD-Camcorder. Unfortunately, its output seemed to be limited to a few flavours of MPEG-4. I don't know if that's changed but I ended up with MPEG Streamclip because of its ability to convert to DV-AVI.
