....I haven't tried it yet but if it 'does what it says on the tin' it will be very useful.

This is a great looking tool John so I moved the post to the Tools section.
It could really help diagnose some problems, I be Ken will love it
It's based on a 3D graphics editor that is $695 usd shareware! A mere 44.5 MB download.

Linux Kubuntu 20.04, DIY ASRock MB, Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, 16 GB RAM, GT-710 GPU, 250 GB NVMe, edit primarily with Shotcut
Am I just dense? I can't make any sense out of the description on that site!
From the screenshots, and Ken's posting, it seems to be a a 3D drawing tool -- which would be very cool! On the other hand, the description makes it sound like some benchmarking measurement tool. They do have a 3D drawing and animation tool (Cinema 4D) on the Maxon.net site, but that sells for $900!
This tool just tests your system for problems with rendering, 3d and other video related stuff. Should be handy for troubleshooting video issues as it looks to me.
Just the free download benchmarking tool guys. I thought it might help identify any performance hiccups. As Ken points out it is a 44Mb download so broadband is sensible unless you really want to tie up your dial-up connection for a loooong time.
As for the other stuff (3D modelling etc.) at US$600+ - that stuff wasn't what I had in mind.
