Project SettingsI edited footage with PE 13 that was shot at 1920 X 1080 with a frame rate of 29.97. My settings at new project setup was HD 1080i at 29.97 frame rate which is the closest PE 13 has to the original footage. When I play the DVD (Not Blu-Ray) it's very jaggy on a 55 " HDTV. Is there a different setting I should have used or is the general rule of thumb to try to match the project settings with the footage setting? Thanks in advance.
Re: Project SettingsYou should match the project settings to the video footage. is the original footage 1080i or 1080p?
Also does your footage have a lot of movement? 29.97 can look jagged if there is a lot of camera movement. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Project SettingsHi Sidd
The original footage is 1080p at 29.97 but Elements 13 only has AVCHD 1080p at 60 fps. I wasn't sure if it's more important to match the frame rate or the image size so I chose the frame rate. The other options that were close are: Full HD 1080i 30 and HD 1080i 30 Not sure what the difference is between Full HD and just HD. It's dance recital footage so yes, there is movement. Thanks.
Re: Project SettingsFWIW, in the DSLR settings, under 1080p, you'll find a project setting for 1080p30.

Re: Project SettingsThat's probably worth alot Steve. I didn't think to look there because it wasn't shot with a DSLR but I guess it doesn't make a difference. 1080p30 is 1080p30. I wlll try that to see if it makes it any better. Thank you!
