Measuring timing for music within the timeline

Measuring timing for music within the timeline

Postby John Walker » Wed Oct 07, 2015 3:09 pm

I use Sonicfire Pro 5.8 to produce accurate length music tracks.

To find the required length for a piece of music within the timeline I have placed two timeline markers and stretched a Black Scene between them. This is accurate but a bit messy as I have to remember to delete them once I have my timing.

Is there a better way to obtain the timing between two timeline points?

If you place the work area bar to cover the area between two points and then hover the cursor over the bar it should show the length. I have PrPro and not PrEl, but should work.

Brilliant! - thanks for that. My previous editing program didn't have that so it had to be a workaround. Your method is perfect and works fine with PrEL.

Good to know it works in PrEl. To set the left side of the work area bar move your timeline to the first frame & Alt+[ to set the end point of the work area bar move the CTI and Alt+]
