If it's in v13 I will quit 12 today, and go to it; I've just been waiting for an excuse to move to 13 but I'm worried about the curve

Fade In/Out @ start/endIn PrE there is a simple Fade In/Out option in the context menu; how I wish such an option existed in PD12. Please tell me it's in PD13, which I just upgraded to! If so ignore this question, otherwise please tell me how I can, simply, add a fade in and out to clips without having to go to Transitions or creating a key-frame.

Re: Fade In/Out @ start/endThe easiest way to do it is to either double-click the clip on the timeline or select the clip on the timeline and click the Modify button. This will open the clip in the PiP Designer, where you'll find the Enable Fade In/Enable Fade Out buttons among the optional Properties.

Re: Fade In/Out @ start/endOMG that was so simple! Thank-you! I can't tell you how many confusing; back and forth, instructions I've been getting from users on the PD forum; for something PrE does so simply! I'm hoping v13 has added a rt click/context menu with this option; but I'm not getting my hopes up. I've been thinking it would be a good idea to order your v12 book, even though I just upgraded to v13. I can't image v13 will be radically different from v12. Would you agree? Michael

Re: Fade In/Out @ start/endVersion 13 doesn't offer any major changes to any functionality, Mike. It's got some great new effects and text animations and improved tools for working with multiple tracks of video, creating custom transitions and building disc menus.
But the basic functions -- like adding a fade in or out -- are identical. And, yes, I'm hard at work on a Muvipix Guide for version 13. Expect it around the Christmas. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Fade In/Out @ start/endGreat, I'll wait until Christmas and watch for it then. Thanks Michael
