DJI is now making a GoPro clone

DJI just introduced the DJI Osmo Action.

Image

For $349 USD you get:

Sensor 1/2.3" CMOS
Effective pixels: 12M
Lens FOV: 145° f/2.8
ISO Range Photo: 100-3200
Video: 100-3200
Electronic Shutter Speed 120-1/8000s
Max Image Size 4000×3000 pixels

Same price point as a GoPro 7 black. at first glance the dual video screens and HDR seem to be the biggest differences. I am curious if the lens ring means the lens can be focused or swapped out for a different lens. Have to watch the reviews on this one.

DJI did purchase Hasselblad so I am sure they have some interesting technology going into the camera.

The first review is already in:

A quick update:

The lens is protected by a removable clear filter. It can be swapped out for neutral density, useful for keeping shutter speeds at the correct rate for video when working under bright sunlight. A set of filters, including four levels of ND, a polarizer, and underwater color balance filters are included. Full manual exposure control is available via the touch interface.

This is interesting in I hope the some manufacturers will make a threaded lens adapter to connect to the camera. Interesting.... :gl:
