Uploading to You Tube

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 11.

Uploading to You Tube

Postby videolady » Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:31 pm

After 3 attempts, I am still unable to successfully upload to You Tube. I get an Error message that says to try again later.

I chose the normal Flash Video for You Tube Preset but I am only guessing this is the correct setting. I have Standard video and photos in the project and it is only 1 minute long.

Hi VideoLady :)
Have you tried manually uploading from YouTube rather than trying to do it from inside of Premiere Elements?

There are discussions on the Adobe forums about this too. It seems to be something YouTube has done that blocks directly loading to it, for some reason. So it's nothing at your end.

While YouTube works this out, as Chuck says you can use Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with one of the YouTube presets selected to output video that will load great when you manually upload it to the site.

I guess previous PrE editions spoiled me by uploading to You Tube directly for me! Now that I have to do it myself, I can't figure out where to go on my You Tube channel. I seem to remember a simple yellow 'Upload' button but can't find it.

It's still it right on my home page. Just to the right of the search box.

As I said above, if you use the Publish & Share option to create an AVCHD file with a YouTube preset, you should get excellent results.

Part 8 of our free 8 part Basic Training tutorials shows you how to output YouTube AVCHD files.

For pete's sake, of course!! I was drawn to the dropdown arrow right beside 'Upload' without ever thinking to try clicking the word itself. Thanks for dealing with my stupidity.
