Totally impressed with V11

Totally impressed with V11Got my first chance today to work seriously with AVCHD in PrEl 11. Did some editing of video taken yesterday during our family Christmas gathering. I've got to say that I'm totally impressed with its responsiveness. No waiting for the timeline to catch up, no significant pauses during editing. Didn't even have to render to watch the changes I'd made, and I had even applied some lighting and color adjustments to some content, plus keyframing. And as I mentioned before, the redesign of the interface is very well done. Worth the time to figure out where things are. Although I've thought pretty highly of a couple of other versions, this is a big step above. If anyone is sitting on the fence about whether to add this version to your video editing arsenal, I can heartily recommend.

Re: Totally impressed with V11I'll second that. I'm enjoying v11. And once I figured out where they hit "Show properties," it got even better!

Re: Totally impressed with V11I agree. Performance in version 11 is top notch.
There are some logistic issues I hope they address in the next build. (Try keyframing with the Project Assets panel open!) But it's nice to see it headed in the right direction. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro

I assume you mean because it's in the way? I guess with my workflow I normally don't need to have the PA panel open all the time, so I just open and close it as needed. But I can see that if you like to have it available all the time this would be an issue. Does V11 allow you to make the PA panel float? Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

I do mostly slide shows rather than videos, so I've been putting PSE11 to work. My opinion of PSE11 is very similar to yours regarding PRE11. Especially convenient is that, thanks to a post by RJ Johnston, I can now access PSE11 from within the PSE7 Organizer, which is where I continue to originate all my shows.
