Using Clips - such as basic, newbie question.

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 11.

Using Clips - such as basic, newbie question.

Postby Cyndi25 » Sat Dec 15, 2012 2:21 pm

I've just started using Premiere Elements 11.

I've downloaded some movie clips, motion clips and music clips. I"m putting together a animated Christmas Card. The clips work together. Santa in his sleigh on top of a snowflake, on top of some gift boxes with music in the background.

How do I make the clips longer? One movie is 9 seconds, one movie is 12 seconds and the "thing" that lets you grab the end of the clip to make it longer, two arrows with a red bracket in between, doesn't let me make it longer. I know that answer is easy, but I can't figure it out.

Can you help?

Thanks.

Hi Cyndi, Welcome to Muvipix :meet:

There are two ways you can do this, you can add multiple copies of the clips one after the other until you have the length you want, or you can time stretch the clip and basically slow it down to stretch it out.

Does that help?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
