Re: Version 11Based on what I am reading on adobe it looks like you cannot mix differnt type of video formats on the timeline. The main project preset still rules.
Re: Version 11I've thrown a variety of formats into the same project with surprisingly good results, cinci!
We'll have to see if everyone else gets such good results, but I've found the new automatic video conforming engine very effective. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Version 11
This sound promising, I have not read anything about this in the specs. One of issues now with so many ways to record video is that for a vacation you may have clips from your HD camcorder, iphone, camera, etc. and it would be nice not to have to convert all the files to one format before editing.
Re: Version 11Here's a video test I did grabbing some totally random video.
As you can see, I mixed miniDV, Flip video, AVCHD and iPod video in the same project with excellent results! http://muvipix.com/cpg/albums/userpics/ ... forWeb.mov HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Version 11I have gotten excellent results as well with mixed formats, version 11 Rocks !!

Re: Version 11That is great news. Steve, I love the exploding Christmas Tree.
When you add the different formats due you still get the "red line" in the timeline? Although it sounds like the timeline is really different now.
Re: Version 11Yes, you still have render your timeline (as you do any timeline). But the program does an excellent job of conforming pretty much any format to the project specs -- at least in my experience.

Re: Version 11Okay... Question: Apparently, the default resolution is 1920/1880. I want to do a 720/480 slide show. I bring in pictures but can't find any option to set the screen size... regardless of the dimensions of the pictures, the resolution remains at 1920/1880. The only work around I have found is to bring in a 720/480 video clip first before bringing in stills, then the program sets the screen size to 720/480. Is there another way???
Re: Version 11When you start a new project, under the Settings button on the New Project panel is a checkbox that you can select that will force any settings you make on your project. If you check this box, the video or photos you add will not change your project settings.

Re: Version 11Thanks, Steve... now I don't know if I am just blind but, I can't find any settings button!
Re: Version 11Kind of looks like this. Actually looks exactly like this.

Re: Version 11Thanks, Steve. Got it. A little complicated. I think, perhaps, I will create a little folder where I keep small clips of video in different resolutions and just insert one of those clips when I start a new project.
Re: Version 11Uncle Steve, what was that at about 11 seconds in AVCHD...Hummm
