MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 15 patch is available

I just noticed that tha patch for MAGIX Movie Edit Pro is now available.

Here is what the patch contains:

- new burn routines for windows 7
- AVCHD disc
- Export presets for Catooh
- YouTube upload automatic in high-resolution and H.264, if a HD movie is present
- Presets for MAGIX Online Album adjusted for better quality HD videos
- Small corrections to multi-cam handling
- new HDV Decoder, better performance on Multicore-PC
- AVCHD Lite supported
- secondary colour correction (eye dropper for foreground, separate -Settings for foreground, background and Master)
- new effects series for Audio effects in Mediapool-Window
- minor improvements in the Online Services
- Framerate recognition improved in MP4- files
- Import problems with diverse ‘problem‘-AVIs
- diverse problem files MPEG-2 import more easily
- Bugfixes Authoring
- AC-3 extraction now also functions with HW Reader
- diverse minor Bugfixes in Titeleditor, Titel-Rendering, Shortcuts, Refreshes, MVP-Handling, batch-processing, In/Out Point setting, edge trim compensation
- less memory required for importing multiple AVI and/or MP4 files due to revised resource management
- new version of MPEG codecs (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, etc.)
- HD MPEG also possible at 15MBit/s
- during project backup, copying of large files features a progress bar
- new effects under "Chroma key": "Video level" (enables keyframing of [Mix-]brightness/transparency)
- Creation of new keyframes via single click on curve display in the timeline
- Audio effects keyframes can be edited in the effects area (e.g. move or delete)
- Curve display in the timeline improved (reset program settings required)
- Improved ease of use for "Select previous / Select next" in keyframe area
- if a keyframe is not selected, then the next respective frame will be jumped to from the start cursor position
- The jump always occurs in the selected effects track, with the exception of when a keyframe is selected in another track. In this case, the jump will occur in this track
- Diverse corrections made to effects handling
- Collages are removed on "Reset video effects"
- The selected timeline area is reset if a start marker is positioned behind the end marker or if an end marker is positioned before the start marker
- Small corrections and improvements to the timeline and object handling
- Small corrections to video export or export of web DVDs in MP4 format to the MAGIX Online Album
- Diverse improvements to presets for video recording
- Small improvements and corrections to Media Pool
- Settings for Smart Render and anti-flicker are saved via program restart
- Small changes and improvements to project stability in special projects

Thanks Johnny. I wish Adobe would release patches or updates for Premiere Elements... incorporating new formats like the AVCHD lIte and burning AVCHD dics that the Magix update includes. You can almost quarentee that PE8 will have no support for new formats... they are always a few years behind the game... pity really.

Paul. This is true.

I have to tell you I was very happy that they added support for AVCHD-lite. I have a new digital camera (Panasonic DMC-ZS3) which saves video in that format. Now I have a place to edit the video.

All in all, I am very happy with MEP 15 plus. The more I work with it the more I see how powerful it is. Compared to PRE7, I believe MEP is just as powerful, if not more in some cases. And you get all the fun stuff too.
