Premiere Express / Photoshop Express

Postby larryjd1 » Fri Oct 19, 2007 7:01 pm

An article on MSN was talking about Adobe and SAAS (Software As A Service.) Here is the paragraph that caught my eye:

Adobe has started introducing bare-bones versions of its design tools for free including Photoshop Express, which lets users edit photos online. It also has a free video editing tool called Premiere Express.

I never knew these existed.

Here is the link for Premiere Express
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiereexpress/

According to Adobe they say in 10 years everything will be SAAS. I am not sure that I believe that number for business applications like accounting or editing word documents let alone video editing and the enormous files it would need to handle.

What a strange development, Larry!

I'd read that Microsoft was going to start putting it Office online (as Office Live), and Google has been trying to get something similar going. (There are privacy issues, since all of your work will be done online, but they probably are no more serious than Google's alleged anonymous tracking of your searches.)

But video editing with online software? I'm not ready for that!
