Thanks guys, we are fine. The tornado that hit last night is now classified as an EF-4. There were 2 big storms moving west to east. The northern one is the one that hit St L airport. The notch section of the storm moved right over us. We were watching the news about damage first in St L, then right across the river in Granite City, then moving east our way. We are very fortunate that we didn't have any damage.

We were in the basement. I had my essentials: reading glasses, purse, & video cam. I take it with me each storm and figure if we did get damage at least I would document it.

Tuesday it was all over the news that national storm chasers were in town. You know it is going to be bad.

Here is video from a storm a few days ago, about 20 miles from us:

Glad to hear all is well with you Cheryl. Sure is some scary stuff. We had a taste of that storm from last week. Wiped out a couple of businesses and did some residential damage, but nothing like you've had in your area. No one hurt here, fortunately.

Wow Mom, I hope the Easter Bunny left a waterproof camcorder housing for you with the Easter candy :)

 Hopefully it will not come to that.

More storms on the way this week. Local friends on FB are sharing stories about what they have in their basements, what they are stocking up on, etc. Parts of StL were hit hard. Several church's roofs blown off and had to scramble for a place to hold Easter services. There was a local telethon last night for people without insurance. Really sad. Still wondering about Ric.

Cheryl, Glad to hear you are safe and without damage.

We went through a hail storm last week, golf ball size hail left a few dents in the car and a broken driver side rear view mirror.

Cinde the south was hammered with tornadoes! Saw the nat'l news and unbelievable damage. One good thing about FB is that there were concern for family & friends and one person is contacted then they pass that info on. Cell phones are down in most areas, etc. Glad you are okay.
