Write Speed and Compatability

Postby Maxine370 » Sun Jul 29, 2007 7:22 pm

Which is better for most player compatibility and reliability an 8x write speed disc or 16x write speed disc?

I'm not worriesd how long it takes to burn but rather want the best quality disc for playback.
Happy Editing,

Beth

I don't think that would matter. Get a good quality disc and burn it at around 4x.

If you burn with Premiere Elements, and don't have the option of choosing the write speed, then the 8x discs are better.

But if you burn with another program and set the burn speed to 4x, like Ed says, just get good discs and it won't matter.
