So, do you think that Paris Hilton should go to jail or not?

Yup. She needs to finally learn a lesson that beauty won't get you everywhere.

However remember, "beauty fades, dumb is forever !" (Judge Judith Sheindland).

She should be treated the way anyone of us would be treated under the same circumstances. Being rich, famous and stupid doesn't buy a "Get out of Jail" card.

With war, genocide, disease, natural disasters and the tragic move from miniDV to DVD camcorders in the news, the last thing I'm worried about is where some socialite spends her next two months.

Whew, yer right :)

---- it's just that she's ALWAYZ in the news, not because she's talented, but because she's wealthy and [pretty]. It's about time that she's in the news to pay some dues.

And Ed : her rap sheet, from what I understand, is pretty long, not just one or 2 offenses. I think it was more to throw her a signal.

I don't wish jail time on anyone. It's a terrible place to be. Only real criminals should spend time in jail. I think tar and feathers would be more appropriate, or the guillotine.

I think community service would be more appropiate considering what other people get in similiar situations.

She needs to feel humiliation and not hard time.

Of course that is my opinion.
Thanks
Richard

ron, I'm not sure what her record is, but a judge should treat her the same as everyone else. I had a neighbor once that had 4 dui's and was also caught driving on his suspended liscence. He didn't serve one day in jail, although he should have for his own and others safety.

Shock jail time would be good with the community service. Speaking as a mom of 2 females, send her to my house and I will give her the chore list. Plus no car, only public transportation. And no internet, no TV, no phone, etc.

Hey, if Martha can do the time then Paris can too.

You know, I'm totally and completely tickled that I'm so far removed from pop culture that I have no idea what she did, only vaguely know who she is, and don't give a rat's behind about any of it.

I can only imagine how many trees could be saved if they stopped publishing "People" and "Us" magazines.
