e-mail client

Postby John 'twosheds' McDonald » Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:31 am

The e-mail client software that I have been using for far too many years is no longer supported so, with Windows 7 on the horizon (I didn't bother with Vista and, eventually (and sadly) XP will be withdrawn) I need to look for something to replace what I had.

I thought I'd take advice from users here before I make the change to something new(er). ::C

I use Outlook but in the past I have used Thunderbird by Mozilla, the same people that give us Firefox :)

Thanks Chuck. Thunderbird was the one I was leaning toward but thought I would seek some input before deciding.

Mrs Twosheds uses Eudora but, for something that claims to be the market leading product, I find it very 'clunky' (know what I mean?). :???:

I've been using Thunderbird on two machines for a couple years with no complaints.

Love Thunderbird!

Lots of great, free eye-candy and toys (just like FireFox) if you want it -- or it works so well you can just run it and never have to worry about it again.

Well I have been playing around with settings in Thunderbird today and it seems to do what I want so, particularly as it is FREE, (love that word!) then I'll probably stick with it. Thanks all for the input. :-D

The wife and I have been using Incredimail for a couple of years now. I have the free version which has most of the features including EASY to use backgrounds, animations and sounds that are a no-brainer for anyone - even my mother. I bought the paid version for my wife which adds seasonal skins, a few more features and tech support. It's html email without the hassle.
