Here's another example that uses a map to select download test sites. These two seem to be the best out there.

I took the test on both sites and had 4836/4745 kbps for download and 363/367 kbps for uploads. The second site showed a chart that I was above average, but I have never tested and have no clue if my results are good. :dontknow: Any comments.

I found both sites to be off by about 1mb download and about 20kb upload. My averages are 5.8mb download and 70kb upload but I got the same speeds as you in both of my tests.

Your speeds are average for High Speed DSL or Cable but I don't know how accurate the tests are.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

One Ron's site, I tested the closest server to my home, and tested at:
9706 / 982

These results are typical for me for a "close" server. The further away the server is, the slower the results.

Wow, thats twice as much as mine. I was using the closest server (Dallas) 250 miles away. :eek:

I pay $10.00 per month extra for a service they call: High Speed Extreme. It's fast, however, I don't believe it should cost extra, but that's another story isn't it! LOL
