As some of you may know, my husband has been deployed for the last six months. I just wanted to share our good news with my friends here...

Any idea where you are moving to yet?

We are going to Pax River, Maryland. It's a little over an hour southeast of D.C. Everyone we know says it's a really nice area. It's a small town life with the proximity to D.C. to give the culture and shopping "necessities". I really enjoyed visiting there to find a place to live.

I am really looking forward to living there, but I really don't want to actually move! The movers come to get our stuff in 2 weeks, and then my hubby is off for training again for 3 weeks. When he comes back, the kids and I will move with him to MD. So it will be camping chairs and card tables in the living room for a few weeks, but that's way better than dealing with the movers all on my own with the kids!

To borrow from the Army - it's not just a job, it's an adventure, right? Right? Please, someone convince me this is an adventure!!!

It's nice there. One of my cousins lives in Saint Mary's County. There's a lot to do around DC, especially if you have young kids. Send me a message when you arrive if you want.

Also, your right near Calvert Clffs, where you can pickup fossils and sharks teeth right off the beach. My kids loved it, although since 911 they don't let you get as near to the nuclear plant, which happens to be the best place to find them.
