Last night at 7:26 PST. I was ready with my camera and tripod, but there were clouds blocking the view. Bummer!

We have had much needed rain along with thunderstorms for the past 2 days, they didn't even mention it on the news.

It was pretty cool. I saw it at the beginning and the end, when the moon had a reddish cast to it. I just kept thinking about how people thousands of years ago must've reacted...
Dell XPS 8500 desktop w/ Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.4ghz / 22 gigs RAM / Radeon HD7570 1g dedicated video memory/ PrEl 11 & 9 / Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 / After Effects CS4 / Olympus OM-D E-M5 DSLR (1080i HD video)

The only reason I knew about it was because my son was doing a project on lunal eclipses. I searched the internet for him to get some info, and discovered that there would be a lunar eclipse (which was last Wednesday)

I let my kids stay up late to see it. at 10:01 pm the eclipse was in full. The moon had a reddish tint to it. It was really cool.

I watched the eclipse, but have always had a difficult time with 'moon' photos. My digital camera can't seem to find the right focus .. and I guess I don't know what manual changes need to be made to make it work :(

I took these still images when we had an eclipse last August here in Brisbane. It was my first attempt at photographing something like this. The photos could be heaps better, but I am happy with my first attempt. I was sharing the tripod with my daughter and her camera, so the photos are not all in the same position.

Very Nice Job!
I found it was tough to get the right exposure combination (combined with the -28 chill temp and -8 temp here).

Thanks everyone
I experimented with a few different camera settings on the night, so I have some photos that are too bright and the moon is white. I found it a good learning experience as I don't seem to do so much "experimental" photography these days and I really used to enjoy it.
