NAACP Image Awards

Postby ridon127 » Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:14 pm

I work with a young man with Down Syndrome that landed a role in the movie My Brother with Vanessa Williams, Neshawn Kearse, and Tatum O'neil. The movie is up for an award at the NAACP Image Awards tonight. Chris Scot is also nominated for an award.. I hope he wins but putting up with him if he does won't be easy..LOL So please cheer him on..

The show ran over it's allotted time last night and they cut away to Fox news at 9:00. I looked it up online and I don't think it won. Chris is in LA and won't be back to work until Monday. The fact he was nominated was amazing. The producers of the movie had talked about doing a documentary of him and Rise School but so far nothing has happened. We are all still awaiting our 15 mins of fame..

For what it's worth, since the invention of YouTube, Andy Warhol's 15 Minutes of Fame concept should be refigured.

I think we'll all get much more time, and probably on a regular basis. ;)
