Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoA very nice summation of the process of creating an interesting documentary from raw footage.
I'm in the process of doing this right now, in fact. I followed two craftsmen around as they described the restoration work that needs to be done on our local St. Josaphat Basilica. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoAgreed, Interesting that he uses a template that can be leveraged for more than one project and by using it in multiple videos it gives the videos a nice consistency. I am editing in Premiere CS6 so I am having difficulty finding templates that will work in CS6. Understandably most is set up for CC.
I remember you made that prior video of St. Josaphat Basilica a couple years back so I am interested in what you can come up with. Milwaukee has so many old and magnificent churches, that it would be fun to create some videos of those churches. We have the Mission churches which are beautiful in their own way just not as big. Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoIf you're interested, here's my little documentary on this year's Basilica restoration project.
Not nearly as elaborate as your example, but it gets the job done. Particularly when you consider the challenges of shooting video under stained-glass lighting. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoSteve that is really nice. Looks like something you would see on History Channel. I am surprised that you did not include some of your own voice over in the video. Either way the video was really good and the subject matter even better.

Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoReally well done Steve. We have a wonderful Basilica here, at Catholic University, that I've had the pleasure to visit multiple times. It takes your breath away with the beauty.
Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoThanks, guys. I love doing this kind of work so much I keep forgetting to ask to get paid!

Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoFascinating Steve. What an incredible place. Is this part of a longer video project? I remember you posting some restoration video a while back that was also very interesting. Anytime you need to shoot backlit stained/painted glass it becomes problematic.

Re: Using Motion Graphics to edit videoI forgot to add that I thought lighting for the interview parts were really good. Did you set up lighting Steve? If so what did use/do?
