Fry's Electronics in a store in N. California will be selling it for $999.99.
I signed up for the newsletter, too. Now I need to find a site that is giving away GoPro Hero 4's.

B&H will have the copter without the gimbal for about the same price.

The ad specifies that (at least some) of this footage was actually shot with this setup. I wish they had said whether they used any software stabilization. It looks seriously smooth to me.

If I hear of a place giving away GoPros, I'll let ya know! :fg:

Often used on boats to hold oil burning light fixtures and cooking fires. In this instance, Buddy, a set of motors that keeps the camera level no matter what is going on with the copter itself. :)

Well, May has come and gone and they are still asking for 'pre-orders' on their website.

Good point. They say they'll be shipping in June. Maybe soon.

I wish the Shrimp Farmer still came around. I'd like to hear his thoughts on what the video shows about the capabilities of this quad copter vs the Phantom II he has.
