Re: Microsoft Will Abandon Internet Explorer ...You mean there's still an Internet Explorer?

Re: Microsoft Will Abandon Internet Explorer ...I think this falls under the category of jumping straight to Windows 10. If we distance ourselves with the numbers people will forget about the Windows 8 fiasco. If we severe ties with the IE name people will forget their distaste for Microsoft web browsers.

Re: Microsoft Will Abandon Internet Explorer ...
Yes, and according to the graphic, IE and (Chrome + Android) each comprise about 30% of the Desktop + Mobile browsers in the US. Because IE is currently used on less than 2 percent of smartphones (one of which is my Nokia Lumia 1020), it follows that nearly all of the IE is on desktops and laptops. And because Android is very popular on smartphones, I am guessing that IE continues to be used on many more desktops and laptops than Chrome. P.S. I've also noted that HP's new $199 Stream laptop comes with Windows 8.1, which I assume includes IE11. Also, the quality of the photos and videos that I get with my LG Android smartphone is far inferior to what I get with my Nokia Windows phone. P.P.S. Are you as surprised as me that Mozilla Firefox has such a low market share? Re: Microsoft Will Abandon Internet Explorer ...This might affect some businesses, as a few still have websites which are only completely compatible with IE. One of our wholesalers at work is such an example.
