My Sister Linda got the morning show slot at a station in Green Bay Wisconsin. Both of us went to broadcasting school, she stuck with it all these years. Getting a morning show is a pretty big deal, even in Green Bay http://www.wogb.fm/common/more.php?m=10 ... hedule&r=1She uses her maiden name as her radio name

I've been a Facebook friend of Linda's for several years. She's a very cool person, and I'm sure she's going to do great!

Congrats to her Chuck! Is the station available on the Internet? I'd give her a listen sometime.

She's been doing that since 1982 or 1983, she does a great job I only lasted a couple of years, the pay is not very good when you are staring out and it doesn't often get much better either. When babies came along it was time to find a job that payed better.

Chuck, this is too cool. I'm a first generation top40 jock, back in the days when Fabian plagued the airways and AM was King. Then I jumped from the frying pan into the fire and got into the music biz. My old friend Wolfman Jack used to say, "Buddy, you should never have gotten out of radio." Actually he was right, once a radio guy always a radio guy. Everything I do I approach it from a radio standpoint.

I grew up listening to Larry Lujak and John "Records" Landecker in Chicago during the 60's and 70's. Larry Lujak inspired me to get into radio years ago. I got out back in 85 after only a few years. My sister on the other hand has stayed involved in radio since 82. Loved the job, hated the pay but the experience has helped me in many other ways and with many other jobs The Wolfman was the best, I still miss hearing him on the radio ...

Buddy, you knew the Wolfman, cool! What teen didn't listen to the Wolfman back in the 50s. His voice is indelibly burned into my memory.
What station did you work for?
