Election

Postby Bobby » Mon Nov 07, 2011 10:15 am

Hi all. Sorry for my extended absence, but the local election (for Mayor) has taken up soooo much of my time and all my mental energy. But the vote is tomorrow, so one way or another it will be over soon.

I had mentioned that I planned to be heavily video based on my website. I ended up doing only three videos because I had a hard time making them (I am just not a great public speaker) and I found that very few people bothered to listen to them. It seems that all people want these days is Facebook or Twitter feeds - if it is longer than a few words or a few seconds, they move on. Oh well.

I will keep you all posted as to the results!

Lots of info on that subject .. the fact that those with all the gadgets that spend so much time online & with social media are losing their ability to focus .. which precludes them from understand things at a deep level, due to the short attention spans.

Good luck tomorrow!

Well, it didn't go very well. I lost. There was a very significant "throw the bums out" attitude here in our town that perhaps also reflects the prevailing national sentiment on politics and politicians (Note: I do not consider myself one). Since I am 65 years old now, that was my last effort and so I will blend back into the masses now.

Thanks for all your support and let's see what the future holds for me. I think I will start out by ordering PRE10!

Well that's disappointing from both your end and ours. But as you say, there are good things to come no matter what the outcome. Congrats on running the good race. Be sure to let us know your impressions of PrEl 10 if you bite that bullet.

Thanks all! I am feeling good. Funny, it was so intense the past few months that I am bored now. What a switch.
