Roll Call - January 2012

Talk about anything here.

1. No New Year's resolutions for me... I have made too many in the past and always break them. So a few years back I made a New Year's resolution to make no New Year's resolutions and I have kept to that one. :)

2. I am out of work at the moment... well since November last year. :( So I am looking around for a new job, I got a good redundancy payment so that will keep me going for a while, after 30 years doing the same thing it is time for a change. So taking a bit of time deciding what I want to do.

3. Regarding editing... as I am redundant I am catching up on all the video projects that have stacked up over the years.

I guess my only New Year's Resolution was not to watch the Rose Parade! Kept it.

I guess I am not the only one who had a rotten 2011: Lung Cancer, MRSA, Pancreatitis (a stone was removed about the size of a Lego version of Mt. Rushmore.), An ear infection that has taken a lot of my hearing and, suddenly, ulcerative Colitis! I feel like a centipede waiting for the next shoe to drop! :-({|= I'd say, probably the worst year of my life! Very strange because a LOT of people I know had a rotten 2011 also! Maybe a good resolution to make is to have a healthy, creative, humorous 2012!

Sorry to hear about your health issues, you certainly did have a bad year... when you are healthy it is something you take for granted. I hope 2012 is a better year for you. :-D

I hope to run a 1/2 marathon in Quincy, MA in March. I guess you could say that is my New Year's resolution. 2011 was not great - got divorced after 18 years. I've been with the same job for 13 years and our IT department was sold to another company. We had to interview for positions with the new company and I was lucky enough to get one but no clue when the transition is taking place. (Blessed to have a job though).

Ran some races last year and hope to run some more. Hope to find less chaos this year in life and keep striving for peace. Nothing gives me more than spending time with my German Shephard :)

It kind of sounds like 2011 had its share of hard times for all of us.

Here's to a much, much better 2012!

I wish everyone Much Improved health in 2012 !
I DID make a resolution....nothing earth shattering ..just lose 35 pounds.....
My daughter was nice enough to lay out a 12 week plan and even tried to motivate me by saying
she'd buy we a GPS watch if I lose 30 pounds (which is no easy task any more ...
I used to be able to cut sweets out and the pounds would drop.....no go anymore.

Steve,
Congrats ....and not to be nosey but are you interested in sharing what your new career is ?

best wishes for 2012

2011 was not the best of years for me either. My wife and I both had serious medical problems. The good news is that we have both recovered and 2012 looks to be a much better year.

Here's hoping that 2012 will be a much better year for everyone!

And BOOM -- this morning I just lost another uncle. That makes seven close relatives down in one year for us!
