BTW, has anyone bought or read any books on DreamWeaver that they would recommend. I know there are few good ones out there but don't know which one I should get.

Greg, GoLive is Adobe’s web editing tool (which has been replaced with Dreamweaver since Adobe merged with Macromedia) and is similar to Dreamweaver. I started out years ago with Front Page (which is no longer offered, Microsoft has replaced it with Expression WEB) but now I use Dreamweaver and Expression WEB. Expression still works with some of the older Front Page extension features so I can work on older sites. I wouldn’t start any new projects that use Front Page extension features because I believe hosting servers will start removing them in the future.

I was faced with this dilemna not long ago. How would I ever understand FrontPage or Dreamweaver or html. I have Go Live, did 3 lessons and realized I just didn't have the interest to learn it. (okay maybe I'm too stupid :???: ). I looked at the template sites in GoDaddy, but you just don't have any control.

Then someone told me about Serif by Web10 Plus. I had a website in a couple of days. It is very intuitive and it uploads everything for you - it makes the folders - you don't need to know any html. You basically set up your pages as if you were designing a page in a photo program. For the way my brain works, it was very intuitive and I was able to figure out almost everything with a few exceptions. They have a great forum which you can get lot of help.

Now, if you need to do really elabaorate stuff with your webpage, this is probably not the way to go. But it sure beats templates from the Big hosting companies.

And, it costs $79.00. :-D :-D :-D

It would have been nice if they'd had a trial version. I'm spoiled because so many publishers do that now.
