Re: FIRE WIRE PROBLEM

Wow! Doreen, can you point me to the section of the manual which describes being able to do this? I had no idea...

Re: FIRE WIRE PROBLEM

Doreen, not to be argumentative, but I don't think so. As far as I know USB capability on the 400 is limited to transfer of photos. The video interface is limited to firewire. Or maybe you'll prove me wrong. I've never seen anything in the manual which indicated transfer of video over USB.

Re: What does this mean?

Changing out a CD/DVD drive is all of a 5 minute project in most computers, but I do understand that if it's not something you're familiar with it can seem a daunting task. You're right about how nice it would be if you were "in the neighborhood." I hate to hear of anyone being at the merc...

Re: What does this mean?

Donna, I guess what I was trying to say was that I suspect that the problem is in the optical drive. I recall checking on that error and finding that it originated from the drive. Would it be possible for you to swap out the drive with another to see if it makes a difference?

Re: What does this mean?

If I remember correctly, that error is generated by the optical drive itself. I got it one time when I was trying to burn a DVD but had accidently put a CD in instead.

Re: money back / reverting back

Hmmm....not quite true Chuck! :-D I'm still on talking terms with everyone but Ron, who took away my daily forum digests. (Just kidding Ron, you do good work :) ) I tried the upgrade from version 2 to version 3, was quite unhappy and asked Adobe for my money back. :-({|= I have to say that the rep t...

Re: The solution to the version 4 project file corruption issue

I've been wondering when you would pop in here with this observation Chuck. For me, I like the ability to undock and move things around at will, and have been doing so on a dual monitor setup for a while. I also separate the timeline. Although Steve (and others) are happy to have found that the proj...

Re: Creating a PowerPoint DVD

Mark, you might notice that my original post was quite a few months back. It's interesting that you mention the use of hyperlinks, as this occured to me just a few days ago while driving home from teaching. Strange that this little puzzle was still going through my mind. In the end, I found a freebi...

Re: Creating a PowerPoint DVD

Ron, if it's spam it's pretty sophisticated. It does seem to be on topic to my original discussion. Maybe I'm just naive.

Re: muvipix Maintenance Scheduled

I've already addressed my concerns to Ron, so I don't want this to sound like I'm just beating the proverbial horse. Previously I had set up to receive a daily digest of all the posts in the past 24 hours. I just don't have the time to keep checking back repeatedly on the website to see what's new. ...

Ed, I was a big fan of Weather Report and a lot of other jazz fusion bands, but it's been a lot of years since I followed it seriously. Sorry to hear this news. I can't get the link to work, but I appreciated you posting. :sad7:
