If you're talking about the Slideshow Creator in the Organizer, you can use almost any photo format (JPG, TIF, PNG) and it will work as source footage. But I don't know that you can use a video format in the Slideshow Creator.

Before you invest too much into your Elgato, I'd try a short test run. Make sure you can edit your digitized video in Premiere Elements and that you like the results.

In the past, Elgato digitizers (or the software that comes with them) have not married well with Premiere Elements.

My thoughts exactly. They're most likely the results of going from interlaced VHS to DVD using a DVD recorder rather than a file converter.

How are you digitizing your VOB files? VOBs are already a digital format.

That said, do you see these marks on your original DVD?

It would be interesting to hear of your results when you output your project as a BluRay.

Thanks, Sidd. That's the fly in the ointment. Premiere Elements can't work with 5.1 audio. It should be able to, but it can't. And it's the reason you're getting these weird timelines. Is this 5.1 audio?

To find out, open your video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and copy the report and paste it to this forum. Once we have this report we'll better be able to figure out what's up.
