Just the free download benchmarking tool guys. I thought it might help identify any performance hiccups. As Ken points out it is a 44Mb download so broadband is sensible unless you really want to tie up your dial-up connection for a loooong time. As for the other stuff (3D modelling etc.) at US$600+...

This looks interesting....

....I haven't tried it yet but if it 'does what it says on the tin' it will be very useful.

(UK bias so tongue firmly in cheek...)

Driving on the left is the natural way of the world. It is all you folk driving on the right that have got it wrong. No wonder there are so many accidents with people being on the wrong side of the road :-)

My Pentium D (2 x 3.2Ghz), 2Gb Ram Windows XP Pro SP2 works and I am a firm believer in 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it!' So for me, Beth, I'll be sticking with XP for a while yet. I might (strong emphasis on MIGHT) move to Vista when SP1 is released but until then I'm not even going to think about...

I went HD with a Sony HVR-A1 last autumn. Great little camera but, as we all know, no sensible delivery method yet! I too remember the last format war (VHS v Betamax, but don't forget the other format - Philips V2000). VHS, the technically inferior product, won and then the market really took off wi...

I have (or rather had) exactly the same problem. For me it must be an 'age' thing as, for example, my son is quite happy with on-line manuals etc. The solution that worked for me was to take the advice of others and get a second monitor for video editing. That way I not only have much more space on ...

Tricks, Tips, Effects and How tos

There was mention some while ago in the Adobe forum about having a tricks and tips etc facility where forum members could post. Would that be a useful addition?

Hello

I live in Cheshire in the UK.

I spent all of my working life in IT until I took early retirement. I now spend most of my leisure activity in my vegetable plot, on the golf course or making videos. 8)

Looks like there are a number of 'old friends' from the Adobe forum here already!!
