Am I just dense? I can't make any sense out of the description on that site! From the screenshots, and Ken's posting, it seems to be a a 3D drawing tool -- which would be very cool! On the other hand, the description makes it sound like some benchmarking measurement tool. They do have a 3D drawing a...

Norm. If you'll look on page 3 of the Products page, you'll see that Ron has posted our new Europe-themed DVD template.

Chuck and I are also working on a clever alternative version that uses some of the photos you've generously donated.

Watch for new stuff!

I think the general feeling out there is definitely DON'T upgrade from XP to Vista -- unless your system came from the factory Vista ready. Reports from the field are that it seems to run well on computers that were built for it. It's just not worth all the liabilities to upgrade a current XP machin...

Norm, I've just looked over your photos, and they really are beautiful!

I just use the Auto Levels feature in Photoshop and they color-corrected beautifully! I'd definitely like to put those to use in some form.

By the way, where are the photos from? I recognize French on some of the signs.

Meantime, Norm, I've created a basic template that Ron should have posted on this site very soon. (Chuck is planning to create some title templates based on the same theme.) The images, I believe, capture the flavor of central Europe but, of course, the photos are merely background and you can swap ...

Sorry, Doreen. I'm not seeing any jerkiness when I watch your WMV file. Is that what you're judging, by the way? The Windows Media file? Remember, that WMV files use only about 14 frames per second, so lots of movements look a bit jerky in WMV though not in other outputs. If you're seeing flickering...

Try this, Brian: First, make sure your image isn't the background layer. If it is, double-click this background layer (in the Layer panel). A dialogue box will open indicated that the layer has become a regular layer and not the background anymore. Use the Magic Wand tool. Click on the white area. U...

Hi, Norm. Just wanted to let you know that I've got a European-themed DVD menu template that's nearly completed. I just need to give it a good test drive and then I"ll post it here at Muvipix in the next few days. Hope it's what you're looking for! (It is, after all, a pretty big continent, so ...

Well, you WOULD want to deinterlace photos captured as frame grabs regardless, Chuck.

Frame grabs that aren't deinterlaced look awful!

I'd recommend that you do the de-interlacing as you pull the frames from your video. (You'll find settings for it as well as a few other useful settings for things like pixel dimensions and JPEG compression in by clicking the Settings button as you export your Freeze Frames.) Don't worry about havin...

And don't forget, there is a 313 page PDF of the user manual on the Premiere Elements installation disk. You can print it out, of course, and use about $20 worth of ink cartridges. But, IMHO, it's still not quite as thorough at that brilliant "In a Snap"/"All in One" series.

If you'll check the suggestion box, you'll see I've already responded to your request -- and I'm already at work on your template suggestion! It's not going to happen immediately, but I'm working on it. Any specifics you want to suggest? Want to contribute photo or two for the menu page. (Make sure ...

I completely understand, John.

There are times when I've gotten so annoyed at the sound of my voice, I've considered hiring Chuck to do my voiceover work!
