Re: Adding In/Out Points back into Organizer

I wonder too, chuck.

Any idea, Vernon, how you have clips on the timeline and one clip open and yet nothing in the Media/Project panel?

Re: Adding In/Out Points back into Organizer

Hmm. It works fine for me. You are setting in and out points in the Clip Monitor, right? That's the window that pops open when you double-click on a clip. Once you have your in/out points set, you just drag from that monitor to an empty spot on the Media/Project panel. It won't work if you trim the ...

Re: Adding In/Out Points back into Organizer

I don't think you can save it, with in and out points, in the Organizer, Vernon.

But you should be able to drag the trimmed clips to the Media/Project panel and they'll be saved there as separate working clips.

Re: The Ten Commandments of Audio for Video

Yes, yes and YES, Jack!

I definitely agree. If you don't have good picture and audio to work with, all the editing and effects in the world can't help you!

Re: Focus HDV Premiere 3

I'm not sure you need to upgrade your computer -- although it does take a bit more power to edit HDV. But, before you sink a couple grand into a new system, how about sharing your specs? Even if you are underpowered, it's not likely it would manifest in the way you're describing. Can you describe wh...

Re: Mix of good and jittery/jerky playback after burning to DVD

If it doesn't work, a couple of other things to check. 1) Ensure that the video you're capturing is coming in as AVIs using the DV codec. Here's how to check. http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc11bfb 2) Open My Computer and right-click on your D drive and choose Properties. Make sure it's set up as...

Re: Dedicated 2nd Hard Drive

First, make sure the hard drive is formatted NTFS rather than FAT32. To see, open My Computer, right-click on the drive and select Properties. If it is not, you should first and foremost convert it. Second, make sure your second hard drive is set up in the BIOS, not just he operating system. If you ...

Re: Membership products on CD?

Ron, Chuck and I have been discussing this for a while, Cinde. And it's certainly in our future. Right now we're still juggling a few other personal and business issues -- but it's definitely on the docket. Maybe one of the toughest things is figuring out how to package what. Do we package sets of t...

Re: Mix of good and jittery/jerky playback after burning to DVD

It could be a resource issue on the computer you're capturing to. The first time you did it, you may have had minimal fragmentation. How fast is the processor in that computer and how much RAM and free har drive space does it have? Is it Vista or XP? Have you optimized the operating system and, if V...

Re: Imported mpg clips jerky in PE2?

Best solution is to convert MPEG and VOB files to DV-AVIs before you import them into Premiere Elements. You can do this with MPEGstreamclip. http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc4800e Short of that, you're likely dealing with an interlacing issue (since MPEGs and DV-AVIs often use the opposite syste...
