Batch Operations in Audacity

I need to convert quite a few wave files to MP3 in Audacity. However, when I select a group of files to open, they all open in separate windows. Then when I want to convert I have to do them one at a time, which is a major pain and mess of windows on my desktop. Is it possible to open all these file...

Thanks Bob. I used to do quite a bit (no pun intended) with Photoshop Elements but now I know how rusty I am. This worked great. I appreciate your response. =D>

Setting bit depth in bitmaps

I'm attempting to create a logo in PE that I need to save as a bitmap. It's just pure black and white, and I need to save it as such; the lower the bit depth the better. A bit depth of 1 would be fine. For some reason PE will only allow me options of 16 bit or higher. PE is such a capable program, i...

Well....I'm really not interested in converting to a video file. I just want to be able to access the PP files from a DVD menu. Converting to a video file would take away my control of the customized effects that I've created. I've been searching the Internet and have found that there are some progr...

Creating a PowerPoint DVD

I have several PowerPoint slideshows that I have created for a class that I'm teaching. These are not just static slides, but have custom animations, transitions, etc., so I can't just make slides out of them, they have to be run as PowerPoint files. Now I realize that I can just put the PP data fil...

I think the problem is that I told you the wrong PNG. Use PNG-8 instead of PNG-24. But I would start over with your original graphics file, not the one that you resized. When you have the picture cropped square, go ahead and use the Save For Web as previously described. When you're in the Save For W...

In Photoshop Elements crop the image square. Don't worry about the size right now. Then just use "Save For Web" and select the PNG-24 file type preset. Under Image Size use the New Size and put in your 80 x 80 pixels. That's all there is to it. Instant Avatar.

Nice website! Did you do it yourself? I notice that your clients can choose the music they want for the final edit. I'm sure you've done your homework regarding copyright issues. Can you share with us what the pitfalls are regarding the use of copyrighted music?

I would have been there at least just to socialize a bit, but the weather was nice and the wife asked if I wanted to go for an evening motorcycle ride. Motorcycle Ride....Chat Room...Motorcycle Ride...Chat Room... :dontknow: Sorry, see you folks next time.

And of course this begs the question, Why? And then the question, How? Dell must understand the difficulties business users are going to face in making the transition. So are they doing this with Microsoft's blessing, or are they doing it because, contractually, Microsoft can't stop them? Or is Micr...

I just purchased a Dell Latitude D520 notebook on behalf of a client who's using an XP desktop machine and isn't very computer savvy. She'll be using both the desktop and notebook in the same environment with some simple networking. When I first began to shop for her I was concerned that all I would...

The other big ghosting program is Acronis True Image, which I happen to use. It often gets better reviews than Norton, but since you've already got Norton there's no reason not to use it. The only way to make sure that it really worked is to ghost the drive, then switch it out and see if the ghost c...
