Search found 4623 matchesRe: Blu-Ray vs. HD DVDHaha...good one. I agree. With commercial videos being released in high def formats and a high def TV sitting in my living room, I'm ready to start shopping, but not until the war is over.
Re: Blu-Ray vs. HD DVDI guess that's my point. If you don't know anything about high def except that HD-DVD and Blu-ray are "better" DVD formats, Blu-ray might be more attractive. It's an unscientific hypothesis, but I think that's how the general public works.
Re: Blu-Ray vs. HD DVDSo even though the Blu-ray hardware has been more expensive, " Blu-ray titles have sharply outsold HD DVD offerings – by as much 2 to 1 ." I know there are a number of reasons, but does anybody think that at least some part of the success of Blu-ray is due to it having a sexier name? To me...
Re: How to get rid of Norton softwareSteve, the Norton website itself has removal tools that you can download to uninstall Norton products. Granted, it's not on the home page, but a short search produces it. I've used it in the past when I've had problems that I couldn't resolve. Try this page: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsge...
Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New YearI'd like to add my Christmas greetings to everyone. Travel safely, eat well, and enter 2008 with some great memories. How about a few great Christmas songs ? Nah, I'm not talking about White Christmas or The Christmas Song! How about these: Snoopy's Christmas Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer Jingl...
Re: Going on VacationUsed to be access to Charleston Peak, about 30 miles west. High elevation, and an awesome view of Death Valley. Makes you forget all about the city. If it sounds at all interesting check with the locals to see if you can still drive up there. Have a great trip!
Re: Who Knows Who This Is???????Yeah, I did cheat, but it wasn't a serious guess. I just saw the Lisa in the filename. Just having a little fun. Next time rename the file before posting Chuck.
Re: Who Knows Who This Is???????It's Lisa!
Re: ScannersThat reminds me of when we bought our HD TV from ABC Warehouse. Delivery was free, but we had to pay $20.00 to the delivery guys and then submit for a rebate. We did get it, but what a scam.
Re: ScannersI don't like them either Chuck, but so far I've been unable to convince the purveyors to discontinue their use. :-D Forgetting or not bothering to send them in may be a part of the strategy, but there's an even bigger issue here - the use of your money. One person's $50 may in itself be nothing, but...
Re: ScannersI must be the only person in the world to have never been flim-flammed out of a rebate. I've probably submitted a dozen in my lifetime and have never had one turned down. Some of them took forever, but eventually they always show up. I suppose one of these days I'll get took big time.
Re: ScannersThe Epson V500 is the V4490 except it has a white LED light source, which means no warmup time and the LEDs last forever. It would be my choice over the 4490. I don't mean to step on Chuck's toes here, but Newegg has it for $165.00 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate. That's $35.00 cheaper than Amazon. Sh...
Re: Computer Inside CleaningI give volume discounts if they're all in the same general area. Fly me down and I'll make you a good deal!
Re: Computer Inside CleaningBeth, I've done these cleanings by the dozens for my clients. I have a cleaning kit that I put together that I can take with me. It includes a half dozen 12"x12" t-shirt rags, cotton wooden stick applicators, a small spray bottle of Windex, spray gold contact cleaner, cans of compressed ai...
Re: FIRE WIRE PROBLEMChuck, I think I understand the process, it's just that I've never been aware that the 400 could do this. I asked about the section in the manual because I was wondering where it was that Panasonic had told me that it had the capability. Not that I'm likely to use it as long as the firewire is worki...
