Re: How Does This Work????

Just now got back to checking the forum. I hate it when work gets in the way. Glad you figured it out Chuck! =D>

Re: How Does This Work????

Not a problem Ron. Maybe everyone would rather figure it out on their own anyway. I think we all suffer the frustrations from time to time of not being able to hear inflections in posts.

Re: How Does This Work????

My apologies. It's been removed. I thought that Chuck really wanted to know how it worked. I guess I'm naive. ](*,)

Re: Removing my "negative" commentary

I agree with Chuck. This is especially easy to do with the environment that you describe. Just take some audio that contains nothing but background crowd noise and use it to replace your voice (don't paste over your voice, replace your voice). Using the transition that Chuck describes makes it blend...

Re: XP or Vista for PE4

If you're replacing a 5 year old computer, it sounds like you're someone who buys for the long term (like me). Although Vista is having trouble finding its footing, I don't believe it would be in your best interest to purchase an XP machine. If there are problems I think they will be minor, and prob...

Re: Lost my In a Snap Book!

By any chance did you check with the airport lost and found? I know there are many people who would just walk away with it, but I also know that there are a lot of good people out there. If I found a book that was as well-marked as that one I would turn it in, knowing that it was special to someone....

Re: Software for Website Building

It would have been nice if they'd had a trial version. I'm spoiled because so many publishers do that now.

Re: VOB Converter?

Hey Steve, is there some reason you didn't suggest doing this as an import in PrEl?

Re: Check out the balthaser studios site

Incredible Ron. 10 years ago? I didn't know Flash existed 10 years ago. Back then nobody had DSL or cable either. How long would it take to download something like that on a 56.6k modem?

Re: Check out the balthaser studios site

Yep Chuck, it's been a while since I've seen that video. The music is very similar style to the balhaser stuff, and also the video in the one section. Not quite so frenetic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. =D>

Check out the balthaser studios site

This company specializes in commercial flash presentations for web sites and advertising. Some pretty cool stuff. Just let it load and run (don't hit the skip button) all the way through the credits. It will then begin repeating. Be sure to have your sound turned on. Some neat ideas that could be st...

Re: Routine Backups

Ghost seems to get lots of press just because it carries the Norton name, but I've been using Acronis True image for quite a while and I like it a lot. I use external drive(s) to do backups, including one to just mirror my main boot drive. I think it's a good program.
