Re: VMS vs Vegas Pro - Mini-Comparison.

"Scripts" are like "Actions" in Photoshop... they allow you to do repeative tasks automatically. For example adding transitions to all clips or delete a certain number of frames from each track.... ie they work on events or tracks. There are hundreads freely available. More detai...

Re: My First Collage Using a morguefile.com Background

One thing for me is the un-natural pose of the model in the "natural" environment.... the model just looks out of place! If the background was a studio.. or club then it would work better. Plus the addition of a shadow would help, look at the grass at her feet... there are long shadows to ...

Re: VMS vs Vegas Pro - Mini-Comparison.

I am quite happy with the new Vegas Pro 11. The GPU assisted timeline playback and rendering (similar to PPro) works very well and unlike PPro is supported on both Nvidia and ATI/AMD graphic cards. The New Blue Titler in Vegas Pro 11 is very powerfull and costs $299 if purchased alone. It is certain...

What a great price... pity it does not support the 64bit version of Sony Vegas.

Re: Observation about render speed and PIP.

Vegas Pro smarted rendered AVCHD in releases prior to 9.0c... ever since that release it has not.

And I have always thought it was wasteful to use a whole track.. but I think using the track motion is the only way to achieve what you want.

Re: PE10 Licence

You have to activate PE10 to use it and you are only permitted two activations so you would not be able to activate it on a 3rd computer. If you want to install it on a 3rd computer you need to deactivate it from one computer and then activate it on the 3rd. I am not sure but you may then be able to...

Re: Pixelation in DVD Output of PRE Version 10

Your DVD ( I assume it is widescreen) will be standard definition... so 854x480 square pixels. And this will be upscaled to 1920x1080 for viewing on your TV or 1920x1080 monitor. And your TV is 54inch so those few pixels are really being stretched!!! Your photos will be reduced when you transcode yo...

Re: Optimize Photos for High-Resolution Video

The idea is to pan and zoom within the photo and maintain quality. Look at it this way... your video frame size is 1920x1080... this can be moved around within the larger 2200x1235 photo. You can zoom out to see the complete 2200x1235 frame and then you can zoom in to 1920x1080 and not impact qualit...

Re: Question for anyone with PRE9 and a Plus account.

June 2010 would have still been PRE7, PRE9 did not come out until Sept/Oct 2010. So maybe the effects were only for PRE7 ?????

Re: Question for anyone with PRE9 and a Plus account.

Hi, I can confirm there are no additional Effects, Transitions or Clip Art for Plus account holders, just Themes and Titles. And as Dave says the effects you are missing are the GPU ones that were removed after PRE7.

Re: Optimize Photos for High-Resolution Video

You can indeed use 1920x1080. The reason for 2200x1235 is to enable a little pan and zooming around the photo.
