Re: Muvipix 2009 - Video Contest Comments and QuestionsDid anyone notice there were 2 songs that included shine in the lyrics - both of them great for their videos - the other being the wedding video.
Happy Editing,
Beth
Re: Muvipix 2009 - Video Contest Comments and Questions
Not on my editing PC at present so am having to recall/guess. I used the current Andrea version. The video was submitted with the wrong soundtrack - my fault obviously. What was on the correct soundtrack was an explanation that within the cloisters of Monreale cathedral there are 214 (some sources say 228 - I didn't count them) pairs of colums with no two pairs being the same. That gave me the idea of using the columns in the mosaic. From memory I set the source image repeats quite high for the mosaic image about 10,000 if I remember correctly. The 'multiplying columns' effect leading up to the mosaic image was built using a base twenty four column images then building multi track images of the increases in column numbers. So I started with one image on one track, then four images on a track each, then sixteen images on sixteen tracks. I exported the sixteen track set as .avi, then imported that .avi to build one sixteen column image on four tracks giving sixty four images.....and so on. I hope that make sense; if not post back and I'll try again. Re: Muvipix 2009 - Video Contest Comments and QuestionsThanks John for your explanation on the columns & mosiac. Great effect and when I have questions on Andrea will start a new thread. Thanks for sharing. A polished piece that looks like it is a segment on the History Chan. We watch the History Chan quite a bit around here.
