Re: Slo Mo CascadesA follow-up to my follow-up. Some Internet searching reveals that the property recently changed owners. It seems that access used to be denied but when the property was between owners people could visit the cascades. When the new owner took possession they posted it again as no trespassing. The first time we were there just happened to at the right time to access. We just didn’t know it. From what I’ve read it seems that it was just a matter of days after we were there that it was closed off again.

Re: Slo Mo CascadesWell even with bad video you at least got a chance to check out the site. Even if not under the best recording sessions.
I thought I would post a picture of the medical building I was trying to record. You can see how close its proximity it is to the freeway. Re: Slo Mo CascadesAnother interesting structure. Too bad it didn’t work out. The colors they’re using on these places amaze me. Sure a change from all the natural brick and concrete that was used for so many years.

Re: Slo Mo CascadesCool slo mo waterfalls Dave. When I've recorded at 120fps or 240fps, I use a 60fps project settings and slow in post. Adding a little contrast in post helps too.

Re: Slo Mo Cascades
Thanks Cheryl, as you read I’m not really happy with the results but I’m not likely to get an opportunity for do-overs. I need a better quality original to work with. I may get another chance at a different location. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: Slo Mo Cascades
Forgot to mention that the bitrate looks low. On export I shoot for 15 to 20 on 1080. Higher for 4k. aka Cheryl

Re: Slo Mo CascadesDave, For the iPhone SE the 4K videos carry a bitrate of around 51Mbps. The 1080p videos at 30 fps have a bitrate of 17.6 Mbps.
When using Filmic Pro: By default, Filmic Pro uses the "FiLMiC Quality" encoding. FiLMiC Extreme: The target bit rate will be 100 Mbps for 2K, 3K, and 4K resolution. At 1080p, it will be 50 Mbps. FiLMiC Quality: The target bit rate will be 64 Mbps for 2K, 3K, and 4K resolution, and 32 Mbps for 1080p. Standard: The target bit rate will be the same data rate as you get with your native camera, based on the resolution chosen. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. Re: Slo Mo Cascades
I’ve been using Filmic Pro in Filmic Quality mode for nearly any video that I’ve done with the iPhone SE 2 and have been happy with the results. It’s likely going to be the only thing I’ll use going forward. At the time I did the cascades I hadn’t quite figured out slo-mo in Filmic and had used the native Apple app instead. I’ve since worked through that. Great information. Thanks Sidd! Be yourself; everyone else is taken.
