Hi,
My PSE 15 can't locate my wireless canon printer. I am in contact with ATT U-verse my internet provider. I did MS Troubleshoot and got back following message: "Local area connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration". Any one have this problem?

Do other applications print to the same printer okay?

My Canon printer went missing after the latest Windows Update, had to complete remove and reinstall the driver (latest driver on the Canon website) and printer. I have had to do this twice in the last month after Windows 10 updates.

What about Word, or Wordpad, some other applications that can print, do they find the printer ok?

Hello, All my other software like Outlook, Word, Excel etc. will print. When I try to use scanner through PSE15 I get the following message: "MX920 series_220FBECECBBD software could not be launched. The device is not connected or busy." Prior to a week ago I could scan photos from my printer by using PSE15. ??????????? I did uninstall and reinstall all the printer software twice and updated drivers. Ken

I spent a little time searching the internet for anything related to canon printers not working in photoshop and came up with nothing. If you could print a week ago then something must have changed. I might recommend uninstalling any Windows updates that occurred in the past week, not sure what else to recommend.
I had similar issues with my MG7520 but a reinstall of the software and drivers fixed the problem, however I did have to do that a total of 3 times before it actually kept working. Has been fine since the 3rd time I removed the printer, restarted my computer and then reinstalled everything. My problem was that I couldn't print to that printer at all, in any software. Your case is definitely different in that you can't print from a single applications but others are fine. Might want to do an online chat or call Canon, they are generally pretty good about support.

There have been a lot of reports on the Adobe forums of strange things happening to Photoshop and Photoshop Elements after the latest Windows 10 updates.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I will try reinstalling printer. I have Windows 10 only because Microsoft could not get Windows 7 to work on my computer.

If the printer is working in all your other software I'd be more inclined to reinstall PSE than the printer driver.

Hello, I uninstalled and reinstalled my Canon MX920 printer. I then went into PSE15. I tried scanning, it didn't recognize scanner. I then went to preferences and set all preferences to default. Now I can use PSE15 to scan pictires into PSE15.
Thank you for the help.
Ken
