Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15What's a composite shot?
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15When you combine the key shot with a background, as I did in my post a few posts back.

Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15Ah.. I think now I know where we misunderstand each other. The composite shot you mentioned was actually the one with the blue screen (I used solid PSD colour from Photoshop) and was going to add title, subtitle etc. We only have one green sheet.
I have done another one this time with the purple solid colour, see this link: https://youtu.be/m_NmOliwrw8 I used videomerge for this but if you look carefully at the top left hand you will see faint fuzzy areas. I originally did 'green key screen' but the strands of hair do not look right and there was speckle around the body, contrast was not good. Videomerge seems better but then we have the fuzzy areas at the top.
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15
I think a garbage matte would help solve your issues with fuzzy corners. But to help remove the speckle you might try using a 3 point lighting system. This would include the use of a back light. This is used to separate the subject from the background. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15In PRE 15, 'garbage matte key' is not available, only Eight-point... four-point... and sixteen-point garbage matte.
Can you tell me where I can purchase back-light, or more specifically the specification I require?
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15Are you on a Mac? That's a very significant thing to mention.
Which is why I suggested you should let us know in my first post to you. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15No, PC using Windows 10.
Re: Lighting technique in studio using PRE 15On the PC version of the program, there are three Garbage Mattes available among the Key effects, each of which can be used to trim off edges your greenscreen shot that too difficult to key.
