I heard it was editing intensive. I'll try some test shots.

Busy, busy, busy... I've been promising myself I'd get back to go on your vacation with you, Mom... and OH, What FUN we had!!!
Love the feet in the green pool and the waterfall streams in the green pool too. The waving palm umbrellas, the guy wearing many hats! With all that, who needs planning? Looks like quite the place. 'Course I'm a sucker for anything with water.
I'll sadly agree about the softness in the distance shots. All the feet are cool though!
Thanks for taking me along. I've been needing to get out of the house more!

Thanks Patrice! Glad you enjoyed the trip. There were many characters on the beach and the hat guy was interesting. I filmed several feet clips and the plan was going to use only one. Put them all on the timeline to view at once and the idea popped to edit a few seconds of each.
The distance shots of Cozumel were soft with the GoPro. It was wonderful evening light and I was wishing I had the T4i. I packed light for the day trip. The pool shots were soft too and factor in full sun daytime which isn't the optimal shooting times.

Another question, what lens did you use with your T4i?

The beach shots I used the 40mm 2.8 IS STM pancake. Love this lens. Great for walking around because it is lightweight and unobtrusive. I purchased a cheap variable ND filter as a precaution for the beach photos. I generally do not like filters except for time lapse to get lower stops. For inside shots I used the 28mm 1.8. The 40mm is sharper than the 28mm IMHO. The 28mm is good for low light and tight spaces because of the 1.6 crop factor on the T4i. The best lens I use for family group photos is the 50mm 1.4. This is the sharpest of the 3, but on a crop it is 80mm. So good for outside shots or closeups. The 40mm has come down in price since its debut: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-40mm-2-8-ST ... Cheryl!! Such a great job! I'm amazed at all you pieced together to make a very coherent video. Love the white sand beach. The GoPro seems to do nice work with colors.
As always, the feet were perfect and...and...and...I could just go on and on. It was all so well done!!!

Thanks Sherrin! Yes, sometimes cohesive videos. I figured you would notice the feet.

Sounds like the foot gauntlet video contest is taking shape... Mom I have to say that your foot idea inspired me last year to include a bunch of foot traffic in my video I made. A couple of folks even commented that it was their favorite part of the video.... Ken Burns has the pan and zoom,... Mom has the foot cam. Sidd

Pilfered is such a strong suggestion my lawyer suggested I convey how I was paying homage to your foot style. Sidd
