Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnYes the latest imgburn has adware so be careful when installing it. You can opt out if you are careful.
I know a lot of us here use that program so thanks for the heads up Peru.
Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnThis practice is becoming more and more prevalent. We need to be prudent and read the messages of whatever we're installing, and not just click through.
Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnYep, good advice for any download installations and for updates like Adobe Flash Player and Java.

Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnSome are starting to hide the addons in the custom install option. I forget which one I recently used, but it was not readily apparent in the install to opt out. I had to click on custom install to see the addon options choice. They are getting sneaky but that's "the price" for "free" software.
Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnAs long as it's legitimate and not malware it's usually easily uninstalled, even if you accidentally miss it, but I like to catch it on the way in if I can.

Re: Be careful when downloading ImgBurnWhen installing some software, such as those from Magix, I always choose the custom install instead of the automatic one. With the automatic install, you have no idea what will be installed. The custom option lets you skip the installation of unwanted software.
