upgrade?

Postby kr236rk » Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:24 pm

Hi,

I possibly bagged the last version 3 of PE in the UK in order to be able to use an excellent plug-in which works in XP - Granite Bay filters. These filters now work in Adobe Premiere Elements 4,8 & 7, so i was wondering if it was time to upgrade and what the advantages might be? My XP is Pentium 4 so I don't want to end up with a software too powerful for the processor of course.

PE3 is great btw :)

!

Thanks,

Ric

If version 3 does everything you need then no reason to upgrade. There haven't been a lot of enhancements since then. You can see what has been added in each new version by looking at our Video Tours and What's New articles in our products section ;)

I agree with Chuck. Unless there are features that compel you to upgrade, stick with what works.

Thanks Steve and Chuck,

Well that's actually quite a relief: on enquiring I found that Granite Bay Filters run an initially undisclosed time period for upgrades which I do not meet :( so I am more than content to run PE3 as it is! :)

Best regards,

Ric
