What will you work on in 2013?Just wondering what projects y'all have in mind for the new year...now that Ron is shutting off the "smashing lights" (THANKS for the 1 day reprieve!) we'll have time to work on those projects we didn't finish in 2012 or start thinking about graduations and weddings and reunions that are coming up. Is this the year you finally do your "dream project"?
Re: What will you work on in 2013?Well I need to finish my 2012 year summary compilation. I generally try to finish it for the New Year but last year it went uncompleted... we just viewed what I had completed at the time. That should keep me busy for January anyway
Re: What will you work on in 2013?I'm going to try and focus on algebra shorts. I'm finishing up a 20 clip on how to use the slope formula to find the slope of a line from two points, then how to find that equation. It started out as a 5 minute video, but you can't explain that in 5 minutes. I have to next finish the inequalities script I started 6 months ago. These will both be on youtube when finished.
Re: What will you work on in 2013?I'm continuing my effort to scan negatives so that I can have all of my photos in digital form.
I've only got 2002-2004 and some very old slides and negatives left. The older stuff is actually in better condition than the newer stuff. When that's done, I'll start on a graduation slide show (a morphing project) for my daughter. She graduates in 2014. I actually started that some time ago, but had to stop and scan negatives so that I could use some of those photos. Then I'll have to take a break from that in September when I do my last swim team video. That's always a tough one because even though I have until about Thanksgiving to finish, I don't get all of he media until a few days before the banquet. It's a "hurry up and wait" kind of project.
Re: What will you work on in 2013?Those hurry up and wait projects are tough, Peru. I made a slideshow presentation for a relative's nursing event for a hospital that was shown at the convocation in Dec. Got the stuff last minute and had to wait for the director to give me names to take out that didn't graduate for various reasons. Did an express mail and good thing I factored in an extra day because it showed up late. Sent 2 copies for the event and will burn copies this month for whoever wants any, waiting for the numbers.
My next project is for the grand daughter. In December she had her first Christmas program, a birthday, Christmas at our home, & a party with Santa at the community center. Besides a DVD, I make short 1 or 2 minute projects of her and transfer to our tablet. She loves watching her short movies. We have 3 students graduating in May and I have the commencement down to a science by now. Fortunately they are all in the same major and will be in the same commencement. Some years we have had back to back ceremonies or over two days. Last May we had 2 on Fri & one on Sat. It gets tiring to sit in the bleachers that long not to mention hearing some of the same speeches. aka Cheryl

Will you post a link to your UT account? I have a relative that could use your algebra courses. Thanks. aka Cheryl

Re: What will you work on in 2013?Here's the algebra video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NXBMSPrPSQ I get subscribers from all over the world every day from that video. It's almost at 50,000 views so far. Since I've put up that video my subscribers have jumped from a little over 200 to over 600. Now I feel like I have to produce.
Re: What will you work on in 2013?Mrs. "Santa" got me the Topaz bundle for Christmas so I'll be continuing work on my parents collection of old photos...of course, that will be after I get thru with her list of things that 'need to be done'.

Re: What will you work on in 2013?I was expecting the end of the world so I got caught up on everything. Since nothing happened my schedule is pretty much free.

Re: What will you work on in 2013?
Maybe the world did end and this is the afterlife Sidd - exactly the same as the beforelife!. Sobering thought, huh? I'm looking forward to numerous family projects, plus some business prospects in the works (knock on wood). New babies in the family are always good for some footage. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: What will you work on in 2013?Is that why everything looks like living in a mirror? Hey, wasn't there a movie where an astronaut came back to earth and everything was a mirror image?

Re: What will you work on in 2013?Cheryl, the movie you're thinking of was "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun" -- about a duplicate Earth on the other side of the sun in which everything and everyone was a mirror image of our planet.
