Question/Problem regarding downloading tutorials

Postby Ted » Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:58 pm

Hello everybody!

I sure hope this is the correct forum in which to post this question; if not, I kindly ask the moderator(s) to move the post. :)

I tried to download a tutorial "Garbagematte part 1" and at first it downloaded, but when I went to extract it, it said the folder can't be extracted because it was empty.

Hmm... so I deleted it and clicked the "Download" button again. This time, I heard the "click", but no pop-up appeared. I refreshed the page and tried again. Still no go. :(

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help!

When you click to download, either a second time or if you download something else, the small download window is still open on your task bar. It's refreshing with the new information, but the window doesn't have focus. Just click on the little window again after selecting your next download.

And I just downloaded the tutorial and it was fine. Sometimes connections get interrupted for a variety of reasons and causes the download to become corrupted. Give it another shot.

As far as subscribing to the topic, you can easily do this (after posting) with the "Subscribe topic" link at the bottom of the page when reading the topic :)

Hi Ron and thank you for answering!

I feel like a dolt... yes, I saw the little "Download" window hidden behind my other windows! D'oh!

However, I tried downloading it again and still no luck.

I didn't click "Open Folder" but "Save" and then saved it to my computer... it ends up at only 238 KB so I know this isn't right. I'll try a third time.. third time's a charm, right?! :)

Thanks!
