Losing so many of the musicians from my era in the last few years it seems. We too shall pass into history.

I already feel a bit like a relic, Dave.

I remember my dad getting upset whenever they'd announce the death of one of his favorite actors or musicians. Now I get it. They're all a part of your life.

Back to Jeff Beck (sorry). One of the best cover versions of Rollin' and Tumblin'? Well I think so, anyway! :-D

That's a good one, John. I can listen to Imogen; I just can't watch her. Maybe it's something from my past. :)

Beck was amazing. Saw him live once, and you could truly appreciate his talent seeing it in person.

Yeah, this one really got to me. Crosby was kind of an opinionated, rebellious harda** but that's what we did in those days. The difference is that he stayed that way until the day he died. I've kind of mellowed :) . There's no mistaking CS&N harmonies, and you can count me in among those who loved their music. Godspeed, David. Thanks for everything.

Dave that is the same way I feel about Milli Vanilli the German-French R&B duo from the hardened inner city streets of Munich. All they wanted to do was sing and show the world they were not the street tuffs they were made out to be.

Ohhhh wait these were the guys that never actually sang any of their own songs..... whoooops never mind :ha: :hyst:

He was truly remarkable, loved all of his music. So many of his songs are still popular today.

I remember seeing the Burt Bacharach Tribute on Ice show around 2003 that had Burt Bacharach, Michael McDonald, James Ingram and Ron Isley to accompany world-class skaters, Brian Boitano, Nicole Bobek, Brian Orser and Yuka Sato.

I remember how many of the songs I knew but did not realize were composed by Burt Bacharach. It was a great show.
