new dell computer

I got a new computer last summer and I am the only user and am the only administrator. I just checked my account to verify.
I am trying to delete Mcafee files but a window opens up to tell me I don't have Administrative privileges.
What does it mean and can I fix it?

Mcafee does offer a removal tool. Have you tried that?

Thanks. No I haven't tried the removal. I didn't know there was one.
I'm looking into it now though.
I just tried your first link and its a dead link on my end. I just shows an image. And my pop up blocker is off.
The second I will look into seeing that it relates if removal tool doesn't work.
Also I was wondering about my Administrative privileges. I am only person on computer as administrator. And I've gotten that with files I want to delete but I can't because I don't have administrator privileges.

I have had that before too but I just click ok and I seem to have gotten around it.

I found this:

his situation happens because you are not the owner of this folder of file, The default owner of a file or folder is the person who creates the resource.

Log on the computer with the account which created the folder of file, namely the owner, then you are permitted to modify the file or folder.

To see if you are the administrator, try this for Win 10:
Settings>Accounts>Your Info

You should see, on top left, your name, email (if you signed into a MS Account) and the word ADMINISTRATOR

Yep...my info is as it should be.
But I'm getting "I'm not administrator"
I'm thinking what Sidd said makes a lot of sense. they are not my files...
