I will say practice pays off hpharley90. This is from a couple weeks ago practicing in my small backyard. No crashes!

So before you might be tempted to pull the trigger on purchasing this drone, I see that DJI is about to release a new budget friendly drone ($300 USD) Its called the DJI Mini SE.

Image

And despite the name, it doesn't seem to be a scaled-down version of the DJI Mini 2. Because while it has a similar design, its attributes seem closer to the original DJI Mavic Mini. The full specs listed are as follows:

Single frequency
1/2.3 12M pixel
Resolution 2.7K
3-axis gimbal
Photo mode: Single Shot and Interval
Photo Resolutions: 4:3 4000×3000 16:9 4000×2250
Video Resolutions: 2.7K: 2720×1530 25/30p FHD: 1920×1080 25/30/50/60p
QuickShot modes: Dronie, Circle, Helix, and Rocket
Remote Controller: 720p/30fps
Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB): 3 bracketed frames at 2/3 EV Bias
Medium Interference (suburban landscape, open line of sight, some competing signals): Approx. 6 km
Flight time: 30 minutes
Weight: 249g

Thanks Sidd, all these specs and model numbers don't help me much yet because I know nothing about drones. But I'm ready to pull the trigger on one. My knowledge of toys are certain Harleys, electric guitars and amps. I'm passionate about those items.
When I get a drone I will get a lot more involved and start leaning and understand.
Thanks
Richard

Well DJI is the most reputable but there are some up and comers. It is also important to make sure you get a drone that reflects you ability. The more expensive the drone, the more expensive the replacement. And guaranteed it will crash at some point.

I just read that the DJI mini SE wont be released in the USA.

https://dronedj.com/guides/dji-mini-se/

The DJI Mini SE is a specialized product tailored for entry-level drone pilots in markets where consumer drone use is emerging. It uses the internal components of the Mavic Mini in the shell of the Mini 2, which generates slightly higher wind resistance but provides much of the performance of the original Mavic Mini at a very attractive price. There are currently no plans to sell this product in the US or Europe (apart from Russia). DJI Mini 2 remains our flagship entry-level drone, with its superior 4K/30fps resolution and up to 10km image transmission (subject to local rules and regulations).
Thanks
Richard

So I deal with B&H and I just got off the phone and there sending me a quote for the DJI mini 2 combo. Listing was $599.99. Plus I will get crash insurance for $49.99.
In stock ready to go...
Sidd this video that is captured with this drone camera is compatible with 2021 Premiere Elements I'm assuming. Is that correct?
Thanks
Richard

I had to put the drone on hold for a bit. A guitar amp came up at the right price and I had to get it. Plus I ran it by my daughter about a conversation we had a while back about drones when she had an interest but she said she had none now. She is older and boys are becoming interesting to her.
Years back I went the Remote control car route and spent over $600. dollars initially to get everything we'll need. I surprised her and she wasn't really interested too long. It's still in the cellar like almost new. Just needs new batteries. So I don't want to make that mistake again...
Thanks
Richard
